Creative Pastries for Any Time of Day
From morning muffins, scones and coffee cakes to dozens of interesting cookies to rich, creamy cheesecake, Flying Squirrel prides itself on creative combinations and comforting classics. Though renowned for our traditional ruggelah, we also have options for gluten free and vegan diets including local favorites, black brownies, coconut zebra cookies, blueberry rhubarb bars and nut clusters. We love to feature Alaska Grown ingredients such as rhubarb, berries, barley, birch syrup, zucchini and carrots.
Extra decadence is also available; watch for a revolving selection of mouth watering desserts like peanut butter pie, raspberry truffle cake, luscious lemon cream cake, cappuccino cheesecake, chocolate grasshopper cake, cupcakes, and many others. Give us a call
to order a special occasion cake at least 5 days in advance.
Brick Oven Artisan Breads
A wide variety of European and American style, all natural breads are baked daily, most in our Alan Scott style wood fired oven, which burns solely locally harvested birch. Breads come out of the oven by 10:00am. Sometimes they're gone by 1:00! Feel free to call and reserve something if you plan to arrive late in the day.
